Event Alert: The LA Fashion District Mixer

LOCAL BUZZ: Join us in our ongoing Local Buzz feature, where each Friday we bring you the story on an exciting business or event neighboring us here in the ever-inspiring Los Angeles Fashion District. Today we share The LA Fashion District Mixer, an exciting event coming to our area next week.

Three different companies, Wholesale Clothing Vendors, Optical Vortex, and K&K Direct are partnering together to create a LA Fashion District Mixer. The event will take place at Umami Burger on Broadway Street here in the LA fashion district on Thursday, August 28th.

Starting at 7PM, guests can arrive for networking and a social hour at the LA Fashion District Mixer. Next, there will be a gallery where local artists can showcase their brands. The gallery is in the form of television screens. The artists to be included in the gallery were chosen based on submissions they sent in prior to the event. In addition to this gallery, another highlight will be a discussion about fashion, social media and Young Hollywood. The host of this conversation is Kiera Renee, a journalist for K&K Direct. The event will end at 11PM.

The industries who have collectively been invited to participate in the LA Fashion District Mixer include the press, the fashion community, musical artists and filmmakers. The artists who submitted to the gallery include wholesale clothing labels, musical artists and filmmakers, so this makes sense. Optical Vortex, one of the event creators, is a PR agency that helps promote brands from these industries.

Tickets in advance cost $10. However, if you wait until the day of the event, they double to $20. You can find out more information about the LA Fashion District Mixer and purchase your tickets by clicking here.
