LOCAL BUZZ: Join us in our ongoing Local Buzz feature, where each week we bring you the story on an exciting business or event neighboring us here in the ever-inspiring Los Angeles Fashion District. Today we share details on the Tea’s Retailer Workshop, an upcoming event you won’t want to miss.
If your calendar is unoccupied for Saturday, October 11th, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, consider penciling in the Tea’s Retailer Workshop taking place here at the California Market Center. The Tea Collection is a kidswear line for both girls and boys inspired by a global perspective and successfully sold at hundreds of retailers worldwide, the most notable of which is Nordstrom. The company has gotten press nods from dozens of magazines, including Vogue, Darling, American Baby, Family Fun and more. They have put together a workshop to help retailers succeed when it comes to “creating an experience that sells.”
Even if your boutique does not carry children’s clothes, or is not a retailer of the Tea Collection, there is sure to be some valuable information offered. The keynote speaker, Hilary Billings, has experience in brand development for retailers such as Pottery Barn, Peet’s Coffee, and W Hotels. Her insights will be shared in the workshop’s opening hours. In the afternoon hours of Tea’s retailer workshop, an important inventory discussion will take place. Paul Erickson of RMSA Retail Solutions will share ideas on how to improve inventory turnover, cash flow, revenue growth and profit margin all through control of stock. Breakfast, lunch and a cocktail hour will be provided.
Throughout it all, there is an opportunity to network and learn not only with but from other retail and apparel industry professionals. You can find a more in depth look at the agenda below. To purchase tickets for Tea’s Retailer Workshop, click here.
