Designer Dining at Pattern Bar Los Angeles

LOCAL BUZZ: Join us in our ongoing Local Buzz feature, where each Friday we bring you the story on an exciting business or event neighboring us here in the ever-inspiring Los Angeles Fashion District. Today we spotlight our neighbor Pattern Bar Los Angeles, where you’ll find a fun and fashionable designer dining experience.

Step into the Pattern Bar Los Angeles on a weeknight and you’ll enter into a dimly, candlelit bar and restaurant with open air windows and tall leather booths. Fresh flowers abound, their bright petals contrasting with the black and white checkered marble floors. Reminiscent of an AllSaints retail store, old fashioned sewing machines decorate the space. This amazing atmosphere is the perfect escape from the bustle of the neighboring California Market Center building. Whether for a business lunch or post-business happy hour, those in town for market week or various CMC events find refuge at Pattern Bar.

Pattern Bar Los Angeles definitely caters to its Fashion District locale. There are “haute couture” and “pret-a-porter” craft cocktails, named after famous fashion designers. The taste is a twist on their signature characteristics. For example, Dominican designer Oscar De La Renta’s drink features Puerto Rican Rum and raspberries, which is a fruit that could be compared to some of his voluminous, colorful gowns. During “fashionable hour” from 5pm – 7pm, there are appetizer and drink specials. Often, Pattern Bar Los Angeles hosts apparel events and networking mixers exclusive to the trade.

There are lunch, dinner and small bite menus with tapas, panini sandwiches and salads. These can be enjoyed noon to midnight on Monday through Thursday, until 2AM on Friday, and from 5PM to 2AM on Saturday. If you are looking from a break from the retail or wholesale clothing markets of downtown, Pattern Bar Los Angeles is a perfect place to stop.
